Photographing senior pets is one of the most rewarding things I do. Our pets are such an integral part of our lives, why wouldn't we want to capture them to have their memory with us always? In this, cats are no different than dogs. They are our four-legged fur children and we love them just as deeply. I adore photographing cats. I've learned that if you just go slowly and give them time, they start doing all those "cat things" that we love.
Rugrat has been with her mom for 21 years but recently her health has started to decline. The plan was to just photograph her at my Carrollton studio, but I wanted a backup plan in case she just wasn't feeling it so encouraged her beautiful mom to come dressed for the potential to be photographed as well. It turned out to be a good plan because on this particular day, Rugrat was not happy to be away from her heating pad at home and she needed her mom's arms to comfort her (but I am thrilled to report that months later, she's still with us and doing well!).
What started as a standard Silver Session turned into one of the most meaningful relationships I've ever photographed. You could see Rugrat just melt into her mom's arms and the two were so connected that it was like I wasn't even there.

The Story of Rugrat
Story prints are one of my most popular wall art items. You don't have to select just one image to display on your wall, you can select multiple that I then custom design into a single story print - the story of your pet - to hang in your home. All story prints are framed and matted with archival, acid-free materials so they'll never yellow and are finished with a classic black, gallery frame and non-glare glass.
