I'm always happy to get a call from Lone Star Labrador Rescue asking me to take portraits of one of their new adoptables, but when it's a puppy, I do a little happy dance in my office and can't wait to get to the studio.  Renegade was a heart melter and so easy to photograph (and truth be told, there was some rolling around on the floor of the studio and smelling of puppy breath that went on - by me)!  It was hard to choose which images to send over to them because he was just so darn cute in every single one.  I try to track the dogs that I photograph, always happy to hear when they've been adopted and sometimes I'm rewarded with a message like this from the Adoptions and Intake Coordinator which makes it all so worthwhile:

I wanted to let you know that Renegade, the Lab/ Dane puppy, was adopted today!!! The adopters specifically said that your pictures caught their eye & made them look at Renny. They absolutely loved your pictures of him and that is what made them apply for him.  

The adopters have a 1 1/2 yr old Lab/ Hound mix named Marley... these two look like brothers separated at birth! They rough house and wrestle like they have known each other all of their lives.

Thank you again and again for helping us get these pups into great homes!
