I had the pleasure of meeting darling Mia this week when I visited her home to update her Epic Animal Rescue adoption page with some fresh glamour photos. Adoption events aren't for this shy girl, she needs someone to fall in love with her at first sight, so that meant we really needed to capture her sweet and playful personality in pictures. Read more below to learn about sweet Mia.
Mia is an absolutely wonderful dog! She was saved at the last minute and was a shelter staff favorite before being rescued by Epic Animal Rescue. Mia is playful, loving, and has a funny personality. She appears to have been through some scary times before being rescued so she can be shy and skittish when she first meets people and will take some extra love and patience until she feels safe. Once she comes out of her shell, however, she will shower you with love and show you that she still has a lot of puppy in her. She loves to run, leap, and play with the other dogs in her foster home. Mia also loves going for walks and snuggling on the couch. Mia loves to play with toys and socks. She is very polite on a leash and sits very nicely for treats and dinner. She is working on learning other commands and likes to go for rides in the car. Mia is a good watch dog and lets her foster family know when people are coming to the front door. Mia is housetrained. She is still young so she has some puppy behaviors that she is working on and because she can be shy she would do best in a house where the humans will be patient and work with her. Older children would be a better fit for Mia than young children--the children in her foster home are 12 and 9 and she does very well with them. She is a great size at 45 pounds and she is a little over 1 year old. Mia is spayed and is heartworm negative, good with both other dogs and children and is house trained. Please contact Epic Animal Rescue to learn more about Miss Mia! She is a great dog!
