One Cool Cat

I'm often asked "Who's easier to photograph; dogs or cats?" and my answer is always the same - neither; they're just different and I approach the sessions differently. With dogs it's all about trying to get their attention with noises and toys but with cats, you have to let them come to you. You can't force their attention. I do have a cache of feather toys to try to get them to look at the camera, but otherwise it's a quiet session, giving the cat or kitten time to relax and start showing their personality.

I love photographing cats, whether in the studio in historic downtown Carrollton, or at a client's home somewhere in Dallas - Fort Worth for those cats that don't tolerate travel well or at-home, lifestyle portraits are requested.

This handsome fella is Pip, he's available for adoption from Coppell Humane Society and so popped into the studio for his "beefcake" session (the girls get glamour sessions, the boys get beefcake sessions LOL); you can visit their website to learn more about him and submit and application to adopt.
