The Rest of My Favorite DFW Portrait Locations
Because a great location does half the work for you.
There's a reason this list keeps going. After years of photographing across the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, I've built up a mental map of places that consistently deliver beautiful, meaningful portraits; parks that photograph well in every season, urban settings with just the right texture, quiet corners most people drive past without noticing.
These are the ones I couldn't leave off. Each listing includes a short description and a real session example, so you can see how the location actually translates through the camera.
If you landed here first, the main portrait locations page and the second set of locations are worth a look too. And if nothing across the three pages quite fits, let's talk. Some of my favorite spots came from a client saying, "What about here?"
Grapevine Lake
City: Grapevine, Texas
Description: The North Trail and Murrell Park areas of Grapevine Lake offer open water views, natural rocky shoreline, and winding trails, perfect for sunset sessions that create outdoorsy, scenic portraits. Great for dogs that like to swim, and for those that love the outdoors - the North Trail does involve a modest hike.
Address: 2800 Lakeside Pkwy, Flower Mound, TX 75022
Deep Ellum Murals
City: Dallas, Texas
Description: The Deep Ellum murals provide a bold, artistic backdrop with vibrant color, graphic patterns, and layered street art that create energetic portraits with strong visual impact and a modern urban feel. A favorite of high school seniors; capturing multiple murals does involve a bit of walking and driving about, and a morning session before the area opens for business.
Address: Elm St & Main St, Dallas, TX 75226
