Bridges

I'm lucky enough to have some visually interesting foot bridges in local parks near me and I put them to good use in my pet and family portrait sessions. Two of my favorites are in the Grapevine Botanical Gardens in Grapevine, Texas and not to be too confusing, but the other is in Grapevine Springs Park in Coppell, Texas. Both are located in the Dallas - Fort Worth metroplex and have a multitude of locations, colors and textures to photograph in and around. I selected some of my favorite bridge images from these location for this week's theme in the Pet Photography 52 Week Project.

Remy

I visualized this image before we even started the session last December. I knew Remy's vibrant coloring would stand out on the bridge and I used the negative space and somewhat monochromatic color tones of the season to really make him stand out. Mission accomplished! Remy's dog mom, Cortney, loved it so much she ordered a 20x30 framed print of the image for her living room. Watch the video below to see her reaction when unwrapping the piece!

Free Delivery and Installation with Every Portrait Session!

And here's the portrait hung in Cortney's home. I include free delivery and installation with every portrait session so you don't have to worry about how you're going to correctly hang a group cluster or large print such as this one, I take care of that for you!

Xavier and Dash

More sessions on the footbridge at the Grapevine Botanical Gardens include these two handsome guys. Xavier is THE MOST handsome red standard poodle. I've been lucky enough to photograph a litter of his puppies and rumor has it there's another on the way - I can't wait! His dog mom, Stephanie, and I have something pretty awesome up our sleeves for this coming litter so watch my Instagram feed!

Tiny Dash's dog mom knew exactly the images she wanted included in her portrait session and this was one of them - of course it was a favorite!

Keely

Keely is such a girlie dog as is her beautiful dog mom, Kristi. When I saw Kristi's pink toes I just knew we had to create an image where their combined girly-ness was front and center and so I used the leading lines of the footbridge at the Grapevine Springs Park in Coppell to capture the image below.

Patsy

Everyone who sees these pictures of Patsy can't help but smile. Fun Fact, neither could Minted.com the greeting card company. Patsy's dog mom, Toni, used some of the images from their portrait session to create her 2018 Christmas Card with Minted's DIY card design templates and they loved the images so much they contacted me to license them for advertising and display purposes.  How fun is that? I can't wait until they release their new 2019 designs so I can look for her smiling face.

This session was also photographed at the lovely Grapevine Springs Park and we used the footbridge to create a number of different poses. But c'mon. The frog legs. Really? Too much cute for one photograph!
