Tiny and Wiry

Little Semper Fidelis, aka "Deli" to her friends, marched into the studio like the little terrier boss that she is. I took one look at that wiry coat and knew I had my subject for this week's theme of "texture" in the Pet Photography 52 Week Project.

Deli is a Parsons Russell Terrier and I decided to photograph her against a black background at my studio in historic downtown Carrollton, Texas to really enhance the texture and spikiness of her fur...everywhere...but especially in between her eyes and on her chin. I also love capturing the texture of a nose. Did you know that a dog's nose is a unique as a person's fingerprint? No two are alike.

Good things come in small packages, so without further ado, I'd like to introduce you to Deli!

Now on to Jo Lyons Photography, the down-to-earth dog-loving photographer for cherished dogs of the Great Lakes NSW to see what she's done with texture and then continue clicking on the link at the bottom of each post to around the blog circle of fun and furry pet photography!
