I recently photographed Georgia for Lone Star Labrador Retriever Rescue (Lone Star Lab Rescue), one of my rescue partners with whom I volunteer my time and camera to their mission of preventing the needless destruction of purebred Labrador Retrievers in the DFW / Dallas / Fort Worth / North Texas areas.
I treat the rescue dogs and cats that I photograph just like my client sessions, giving them a variety of images to show off the pet's personality to help them get adopted and Georgia was no exception. Along with close-ups, I like to include images that really isolate the dog in a lot of negative space so her session was perfect for this week's theme, which happens to be negative space, in the Pet Photography 52 Week Project.
Georgia was photographed her at one of my favorite locations for the amount of variety it holds; the A.W. Perry Homestead and Museum in Carrollton, Texas. We had fun posing Georgia by the barn, the gazebo and picket fence and she ate it all up; this stunner is too pretty for words and has the softest ears!
If you'd like to learn more about this beautiful girl and how you can adopt her, visit the Lone Star Lab Rescue website, but for now enjoy these images from her glamour session.
